Another win for the Bikeology team

Sunday produced the greatest round up race to the 2010 Downhill Sunshine series.  The Race was held by Gravity mountain bike club and riders were attracted from as far as Cairns to race one of the best tracks in Queensland. The track was in perfect condition and has everything in it, which excites even the best riders. Loose corners at the top followed by a rock canyon nicknamed carnage canyon then straight into fast open corners followed by the spectators delight jump section at the bottom to the finish.

A great result for the Bikeology riders, with Julie Berry getting her first win of the season beating Lea Harley by 0.5s to make it first and second in Elite Women. Peter Brabham took 3rd again in Expert men after sitting in the hot seat with a 7 second lead until the last few riders. Joe Dymalla U19 racer had a great race and was on the hot seat until some re-runs were granted to a few riders due to timing errors. Jason Widdows took 3rd in the U17 race with a time equalling Peter in Expert category.

A great result for the riders and perfect day for such a great race. Next up is State Championships in Townsville and then Nationals at local track Illinbah.

Be sure to check out the timing results and pictures for the other team riders will be up as soon as they are avaliable.
