Because Jimmy is a great mechanic, very supportive, helpful and is as passionate about the sport as much as me. The team is also a group of fun and fast riders that are awesome to ride with and learn from.
Because your out in the mountains with mates and always challenging yourself on the tracks. There is always a big jump, tight corner or steep drop that you want to master. When you accomplish it, its the best feeling and your full of adrenalin.
Any. i'm happy as long as i'm riding my bike.
The speed, jumps, drops, big berms and switchbacks... pretty much all of it.
When I was racing Redbull's first ever mass start downhill race in Whistler, Canada I got a flat tyre and then crashed over a cliff, breaking my seat on my qualifying run. I still managed to finish my run and qualify.
I like to xc ride whenever I can.
Competing at the 2010 Australian National Mountain bike series, racing the Megaavalanche in France, Crankworx in Whistler and making the Australian team for the downhill world cup.
9th at Redbull Exodus 2009 mass start downhill race in Whistler and overall 13th out of 43 women for Kokanee Phat Wednesday Downhill Series.
I once played alot of netball, soccer and hockey but never fell in love with them as much as I am with downhill riding.
Yep. Team mates can help you improve and develop great mental strength. I find the bikeology crew pushes me to try bigger jumps and peddel harder every training day.
Yeh watching Sam Hill at Crankworx was awesome. He was gone in a flash. Also Rachel Atherton has a great passion for the sport and does so well in her races.
Search for your local mountain bike club and get involved with their rides and lessons or even volunteer at local mountain bike races.
