To be part of a team exposes me to all the strengths and weaknesses of each rider and highlights my own. Focusing on the strengths provides each of us with the ability to reach our full potential. The best are yet to be unleashed on the MTB fraternity!
I didn't really, it chose me. Only other thing I've dabbled with is rally cars and they cost too much. One requires youth and the other requires cash. So logically I should use my youth for bikes as my body is more expendable. Rally can wait.
Easy, Kenilworth. More switchbacks than you can count, brakeless challenge middle section and a moto finish. It's like having a birthday about three times a year!
Trail building in my backyard and off camber challenges. Lately enhanced with a bit of loose rock and blind corners. Sweeeeeeeet
Don't want to talk about it.
Oright......first and only National round I've done at Illinbah. Wet screams on a dry track, running a fork with just a spring. First corner flip insight of the startline....thats not even a corner. My boss was hunting me down behind me too.
DH, XC, road and DJ. Jack of all trades master of none.
To compete in the entire Mega avalanche series in Europe 2012/13. Talk about long roads
2nd in King of Dirt 2008 Expert. My time even placed 11th in elite in the race I won with 5 big names. Stoked.
4th in Expert DH Sunshine series 2009
317th in the Mega Avalanche from 1800. Soooo much fun.
Pretty much suck at everything else. Is sexy time a sport?
For sure. A team takes work and it's not free. Once each member understands the concept of commitment the rest is up for grabs, it's not hard, actually easy. Free love for all involved!
Nico Vouliouz....He is a formidable downhiller and has applied it to Rally cars. The fundimentals are the same with any success and he proves that. Whether it be running your own finances to keeping your relationships in check, I believe if you can learn to compete well in MTBing you can be at the top of every aspect of your life.
You've missed out so far, don't let the time get away. This is way too much fun and you won't regret it for a moment. What you can learn applies to everything you do. It starts with your body.
